20th Annual  Diez Vista 50 Km Trail Run

When – Saturday April 9, 2016 – the first Saturday in April

Where – Start & finish at White Pine Beach in Belcarra Regional Park , near Port Moody, BC

Race Day Schedule

6:00 – 7:15 am – check in, race numbers and drop bags

7:15 – pre-race briefing

7:30 – race start

11:30 – first runners expected at finish line

2:30 – awards at finish line

4:00 – final runners expected at finish line

Course – West coast rainforest trails and gravel service roads with “some roots, some rocks, some mud & some nice trail”. See course description page for details.

Entry Limits and Rules – A maximum of 200 entries will be accepted, due to permitting restrictions. There will be NO REFUNDS and NO DAY-OF-RACE ENTRY . ENTRIES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE (no exceptions).

Cutoff – 2:30 pm at Eagle Mtn Road, Aid Station #5. Runners arriving at A.S. #5 after 2:30 pm will be entered as DNF in the results and offered a ride back to Sasamat Lake.

Aid Station Food – The usual ultra stuff will be available (potatoes, fruit, chips, pretzels, candies). If you prefer something special, we suggest that you carry it with you or leave it in your drop bag.

Greening Up – Paper cups will not be available at Aid Stations, nor at the start/finish area, with the exception of #5 & #6 for cola. Please use your water bottle(s) for fluids on course!

Post Race – BBQ for runners and volunteers at White Pine Beach. Bring your own lawn chair, plate & utensils. Alcohol is not permitted in the Regional Park.

Volunteers – We are very proud of our committed volunteers. Many volunteers have been involved in this run since its inception, 17 years ago! Some volunteers will be on the course longer than the runners. Without volunteers, this run would not exist. Be very kind to them !! Washrooms – At White Pine Beach concession (on beach) at the start/ finish area; Buntzen South Aid Station #3; Pit Toilet at Equestrian Lot (AS #4)

Pacers & Pets – Not permitted. Spectators with pets must keep them leashed and under control at all times.

Dropping Out – Runners who decide to withdraw from the race must report their decision to the nearest Aid Station Captain. Please do not go home without reporting that you have withdrawn .
